A Wee Old Couple Who Love Collecting!

Our story began 30 years ago, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada when a gaming nerd met a pop culture geek. Now we’re in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada and The Wee Toy Shop is our happy place!

Dean has been reading and collecting comics for 45 years. The store started with his personal collection. Along the way, we started collecting board games, role playing games and war games. Michelle dreamed of staying home with the kids, but never gave up the idea of opening her own store one day (that would put her Business Degrees to good use).

With three littles in the house, the toy collection grew and grew. We were that odd family that stopped at every little comic book store or gaming store wherever we travelled, always making mental notes about what we liked and what we’d do differently. A move to Yarmouth, NS and three big kids and retirement in the near future, and idea was hatched!

That brings us to today and The Wee Toy Shop, the best vintage toys and collectible store in the province! We pride ourselves on our friendly, personable, welcoming atmosphere. There’s no putting on airs here – what you see is what you get. And what you get is a great selection of vintage toys, games and collectibles, fairly priced so they can be discovered by someone who will love them as much as we do.
